This is a two hour foraging walk and talk around Haruatai park in Otaki followed by botanical ice cream tasting, picnic style in the sun.

About the event
During this foraging walk Mike will share all his knowledge about edible plants you can find in your local environment.
Exotics, natives, mushrooms, leafy greens, trees and ferns.
Haruatai Park is a great place for a tour with a real mix of plants available to talk about.
Mike has a real interest in finding and promoting NZ native botanical flavours and he likes to use ice cream to showcase flavours, so after our walk we will sit in the sun and try various botanical ice creams.
MEETING PLACE IS AT THE CARPARK INFRONT OF THE PLAYGROUND IN HARUATI PARK.
Please bring a drink and suitable footwear.
